From 5 to 10 December 2004 an educational trip of Belarusian specialists to the Republic of Latvia was organized, where the forecasting of the consequences of the adoption of normative acts has been carried out since 2002. During the visit, a number of meetings were held with representatives of the State Chancellery of the Republic of Latvia, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of the Environment.

Employees of the Baltic Institute of Socio-Economic Political Studies and consulting firm Baltconsult told about the Latvian experience of involving non-state institutions in forecasting the consequences of adoption of normative acts.
