On December 4–8, 2007, a representative of The National Centre of Legislative Activities under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Belarus took part in an educational trip to the Federal Republic of Germany on the topic ”Promoting the improvement of administrative procedures in Belarus – German experience and best practices“. Representatives of other interested state bodies (organizations) also took part in the trip. During the trip presentations were held:

• legislation on administrative procedures in Germany in the aspect of population registration (in the Ministry of the Interior of the Land of Brandenburg);
•  the work of the passport desk on the principle of ”one window“ (in the city administration of Potsdam);
• e-government at the regional level – the service portal of the regional administration (in the Ministry of the Interior of the Land of Brandenburg);
• e-government at the national level (in the Ministry of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany).

Discussions were held with a view to developing possible proposals for improving the legislative regulation of administrative procedures in the Republic of Belarus.
