On November 13, 2007, a workshop ”Improvement of administrative procedures at the local level in the Republic of Belarus“ was held in the Mogilev region.

The purpose of this workshop was to raise citizens’ awareness of the current legislation and new government initiatives to improve the implementation of administrative procedures at the local level, as well as to identify public proposals for the preparation of the draft Law of the Republic of Belarus ”On the Basics of Administrative Procedures“, the development of which was stipulated in paragraph 12 of the plan preparation of draft laws for 2007, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of January 10, 2007 № 11. In the framework of the workshop, meetings in the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee and the Bialynich District Executive Committee were held.

The representatives of local government bodies and self-government of various levels, public associations and mass media, representatives of youth took part in these meetings. During the meetings, discussions on approaches to improving administrative procedures, including the draft law ”On the Basics of Administrative Procedures“ were held.
